A Perfect Sauce for a New York Strip Steak

Try J. Morgan's Steakhouse perfect sauce recipe on a delicious New York strip steak.

Ingredients:
  • 2 Tbsp fresh basil
  • 2 Tbsp fresh parsley
  • 2 Tbsp fresh oregano
  • 2 Tbsp fresh thyme
  • 1 Tbsp fresh minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2 12-oz. well-marbled New York strip steaks
  • 1 Tbsp coarse Kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp fresh cracked pepper
  • Canola oil

Directions:

Mix the first seven ingredients and hold at room temperature. Season the strip steaks with the Kosher salt and pepper and keep at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes. Have your grill or pan (preferably cast iron) smoking hot. Brush steaks with canola oil and cook until internal temperature reads 128 degrees. Place cooked steaks on a clean plate and cover with perfect sauce. Let rest for 15 minutes. Slice steak straight across and enjoy with your favorite side dishes.
