Steven DePalma Helps Veterans Struggling with PTSD [Video Extra]

09/16/2015 05:12PM ● Published by Ryan Frisch

After returning from Afghanistan in 2010, Steven DePalma turned to his relationship with horses to help him cope with his depression, anxiety, and survivor’s guilt. He started the Veteran Barn Door project to bring the healing power of horses to other veterans struggling with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries.

Through sponsored clinics, participants are given the chance to interact and bond with horses, building a relationship of mutual trust.

Hear Steven’s story and see the Veteran Barn Door Project in action in the video below.

The Veteran Barn Door Project is a non-profit and relies on donations, sponsorships, and partnerships. Find out how you can help at www.veteranbarndoor.com/take-action.
