Nature Artists' Showcase
An ongoing exhibit of nature art from the boreal forest. The Wilderness River Expedition Art Fellowship (WREAF), under the directorship of Rob Mullen, immerses nature artists in the natural world on extended, self-supported river expeditions in some of the most rugged and remote regions of the world. The resulting artwork, however varied, remains connected by a thread of shared adventure and experience. When exhibiting these works together, usually within a natural history context, we hope to raise awareness of the area in which these rivers run - the Circumpolar Boreal Forest, which is the largest terrestrial ecosystem on Earth, critical for global climate, fresh water, indigenous cultures, wildlife and birds.
