Girls Guns and Glory
One of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need To Know” – “Modern-day Buddy Holly plus Dwight Yoakam divided by the Mavericks…Think-y, soulful lyrics paired with a beat you can dance to.” —Rolling Stone Boston’s own Girls Guns and Glory found inspiration for their music from early ’50s rock ‘n’ roll icons such as Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, and Buddy Holly, as well as country greats like Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. Vermonters may know them because of their annual Hank Williams holiday show in Burlington. GGG is Ward Hayden on vocals/guitar, Paul Dilley on electric and upright bass/piano, Josh Kiggans on drums/percussion, and Chris Hersch on lead guitar/banjo.
