Fall Cocktail Recipes by Caledonia Spirits

Barr Hill Gin, Tom Cat & Barr Hill Vodka gets us ready for the cool nights of fall. We asked Sam Nelis, Caledonia Spirits Beverage Director for some fall cocktails to sip by the fire pit with family and friends.

AMARRO SOURR 

  • 1 OZ BARR HILL GIN
  • 1 OZ AMARO (BESPOKE)
  • 1 OZ FRESH LEMON JUICE 
  • 0.5 OZ RAW HONEY SYRUP
  • 1 EGG WHITE 
DRY SHAKE; SHAKE; COUPE; EXPRESS AND DISCARD LEMON TWIST; AMARO GARNISH 
(Have Fun Experimenting with Different Types of Amaro, they work really well for fall inspired cocktails with most of them containing spice flavor) 
Montenegro = Sweeter Softer
Nardini = Dark Chocolate Espresso
Fernet Branca = Intense and Menthol
Cynar = Deep and Bitter
Meletti = Soft and Bright

OLD FASHIONED MILL NO. 4 

  • 1 OZ TOM CAT GIN 
  • 1 OZ APPLE BRANDY
  • ½ TSP CINNAMON SYRUP
  • 1 DASH ANGOSTURA BITTERS 
  • 1 DASH APPLE BITTERS
STIR; ROCKS; LEMON & ORANGE TWIST

POLLENITA 

  • 1 OZ TOM CAT GIN
  • 0.5 OZ MEZCAL ESPADIN 
  • 0.5 OZ DRY CURACAO
  • 1.5 OZ GRAPEFRUIT JUICE
  • 0.75 OZ LIME JUICE
  • 0.75 OZ SERRANO PEPPER HONEY
  • SMOKED ROSEMARY
  • SALT

Torch some rosemary, place rocks glass over it to smother the fire and smoke the glass.  Then shake other ingredients with ice and strain over fresh ice in the smoked glass. Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig and a pinch of salt.

  • 1 OZ TOM CAT GIN
  • 1 OZ ANGOSTURA BITTERS
  • 1 OZ FRESH LEMON JUICE
  • 1 OZ PECAN ORGEAT

Shake; coupe; no garnish

  • 2 OZ TOM CAT GIN
  • 0.5 OZ CARPANO ANTICA
  • 0.25 OZ AMARO NARDINI BASSANO
  • 0.25 OZ SMOKED LAPSANG TEA SYRUP
  • SMOKE A ROCKS GLASS WITH LAPSANG TEA; STIR; ROCKS; ORANGE TWIST.

  • 1.5 OZ TOM CAT GIN 
  • 1 OZ SLOE GIN 
  • 1.5 OZ PECAN MILK
  • 1 OZ LEMON JUICE

  • 8 DROPS CINNAMON TINCTURE
  • 1 EGG WHITE
  • TOP SODA WATER 

SHAKE; TOP SELTZER; FIZZ GLASS; NO ICE; GRATED CINNAMON GARNISH

  • 1.5 OZ BARR HILL GIN or TOM CAT GIN 
  • .5 OZ LEMON 
  • .5 OZ RAW HONEY SYRUP 
  • TOP DRY HARD CIDER 

SHAKE; FLUTE or COLLINS WITH ICE; TOP SPARKLING; LEMON TWIST

  • 2 OZ BARR HILL GIN
  • 0.75 OZ FRESH LEMON JUICE
  • 0.25 OZ BENEDICTINE
  • 0.25 OZ CEDAR SYRUP
  • 0.25 OZ ELDERBERRY MAPLE SHRUB
  • 8 dash ANGOSTURA BITTERS FLOAT 

SHAKE; TALL GLASS CRUSHED ICE; CEDAR TIP + EDIBLE FLOWER
